Location:
Colonel By Room, 2nd Floor City Hall, 110 Laurier Avenue West
Date:
Thursday, 19 April, 2018 - 18:00 to 20:30
Event Details:

Women across diversity have important insights to bring to good decision making. With women being only four of the 24 City Councillors on Ottawa City Council, it is challenging for women’s perspectives to be heard.

In the October 2018 election, let’s change this.

In this event:

o Consider why it is important to have a diversity of women representing us on City Council.

o Know what you are looking for in a candidate.

o Consider ways you can support her.

o Learn how to bring your skills to her election campaign and learn skills for running in the next election.

Organized by women, all are welcome. A light supper will be served. Reimbursing Expenses: We have limited funds for those who need childcare, bus tickets, or transportation in order to participate.

This event is co-sponsored by Empowher Network and City for All Women Initiative (CAWI).
